Touchdown for Sharp AQUOS TV

We launched AQUOS TV’s newest home theatre line with a new website and virtual tailgate parties that make everyone a star.

Sharp USA approached us with two challenges: 1. to launch the newest line of home theatre AQUOS TVs, and 2. to drive user engagement across interactive platforms.

Our response? Game on. To bring this challenge to life, we began by determining how to best showcase the products in a visually stimulating and effective story. Our creative team illustrated, designed and storyboarded a robust HTML5 experience that was optimized  for mobile, desktop and tablet platforms. We then launched the new line of products via the sharpusa.com site, integrating the HTML5 build into Sharp’s SiteCore CMS.

Additionally, we created a Facebook Application inviting users to customize their own tailgate party, having the launch coincide with the start of football season. The response was immediate. Contestants took part in a month-long contest customizing their tailgate with team colors, decorations, personalized pictures and halftime videos. Contestants were also quick to share their experience via Facebook, Twitter, and email in order to build up their tailgate 'likes' and win prizes, including one of three AQUOS TV’s.
