Energy Efficiency: Get Your Bear-ings
Helping raise awareness about energy efficiency through fun, interactive storytelling
Energy Upgrade California is a statewide initiative to motivate and educate California residents and small businesses about energy management. The initiative invites all Californians to take action to manage energy for their own benefit and that of their communities.
To support and spread this vision we partnered with Lowe Ewald Campbell to create the At Home With Bear experience – an interactive panoramic engagement set inside the home of the infamous EUC Bear. The experience was developed in HTML and optimized for touch and mobile devices.
Users explore various rooms to find energy saving tips and reveal a quirky audio clips (spoken by the Bear). A Sweepstakes component was integrated to further heighten user engagement so that when the user found all twelve (12) hotspots in the room (including the hidden easter eggs) they were automatically entered into an instant prize contest to win a LOWE's gift card.
Through this campaign, we helped make serious conversations about energy consumption a light hearted and fun experience. Now that's keeping California golden.
